Dear Mr. Groom,
In the letter referenced above, the NRC identified a finding that has preliminarily been determined to have low to moderate safety significance (White). Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) was provided with the option to request a Regulatory Conference or to submit a position on the proposed white finding in writing.
Accordingly, PG&E hereby requests a Regulatory Conference, to be held at a date mutually agreeable to the NRC and PG&E, in order to present additional facts and information for the NRC to consider in determining the significance and regulatory response regarding this finding. This request was verbally communicated to you on October 12, 2016.
PG&E makes no new or revised regulatory commitments (as defined by NEI 99-04) in this letter.
