Steam Generator Tube Repairs Resulting from Byron Station, Unit-2, Cyclel2 Refueling Outage Pursuant to Item a of Technical Specification 5.6.9, Steam Generator (SG) Tube Inspection Reports, we are reporting the number of SG tubes plugged or repaired during Byron Station, Unit-2, Cycle 12 Refueling Outage.
A 100% full-length eddy current bobbin coil inspection was performed on all four Unit-2 steam generators.
Additionally, a 20% plus-point inspection of tubes within the hot leg top of tubesheet region from +3 inches above to 17 inches below the top of the tubesheet was performed on all four Unit-2 steam generators. This sample included a 20% minimum sample of the total population of bulges >18 volts and over-expansions ~i.5 mils located within the hot leg tubesheet from top of the tubesheet to 17 inches below the top of the tubesheet.
A total of 17 tubes were plugged during the current Byron Station, Unit-2, Cycle 12 Refueling Outage.
Based upon the results of this inspection, SGs 2A and 2D steam generators were classified as inspection category C-i and SGs 2B and 2C were classified as inspection category C-2 in accordance with Technical Specification 5.5.9.c, Inspection Results Classification.
