Steam Generator Tube Repairs Completed during the Byron Station, Unit 1, Refueling Outage 13.
Pursuant to Item a of Technical Specification 5.6.9, "Steam Generator (SG) Tube Inspection Reports," we are reporting the number of SG tubes plugged or repaired during Byron Station, Unit 1, Refueling Outage 13.
A 100% full-length eddy current bobbin coil inspection and 20% plus-point inspection of the hot leg top of tubesheet region were performed on all four Unit 1 SGs. 100% of the total population of hot leg dents and dings that were 2.0 volts or greater were also inspected with the plus-point probe in all SGs.
A total of 7 tubes were plugged during the Byron Station, Unit 1, Refueling Outage 13.
Based upon the results of this inspection, all steam generators were classified as inspection category C-1 in accordance with Technical Specification 5.5.9.c, "Inspection Results Classification."
The plugging distribution within the SGs is summarized in the table below.
