SUBJECT:
ISFSI Annual Radioactive Effluent Release Report Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station Docket Nos. 50-271 and 72-59 License No. DPR-28
Dear Sir or Madam:
In accordance with 10 CFR 72.44(d)(3), Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station (VY) hereby submits the Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) annual effluent report for the previous calendar year.
By design, the seal welded storage canisters of the Holtec International HI-STORM 100 Cask System used at VY do not create any radioactive materials or have any radioactive material effluents. The seal welded storage system design provides assurance that there are no radioactive effluent release pathways from the storage casks.
This letter documents that there were no radioactive effluents discharged or released from the VY ISFSI and therefore no ISFSl-specific data to report for calendar year 2018.
This letter contains no new regulatory commitments.
Should you have any questions concerning this leJter, or require additional information, please contact Mr. Thomas B. Silko at (802) 451-5354, Ext 2506.
Sincerely,
~!ZM_
