In accordance with the guidance contained in Revision 9, Supplement 1 ofNUREG-1021, Operator Licensing Standards for Power Reactors, Section ES-402, Administering Initial Written Examinations and ES-50 1, Initial Post-Examination Activities, Carolina Power &

Light Company (CP&L), now doing business as Progress Energy Carolinas, Inc., is providing the NRC the specified documentation for the reactor operator and senior reactor operator written examinations, which were administered at the Brunswick Steam Electric Plant on Tuesday, April 20, 2010. The examination documentation enclosures are being provided only to Mr. Bruno Caballero, the assigned NRC chief examiner, with his copy of this letter. The Company does not have any comments relating to the written examination.

No regulatory commitments are contained in this letter. Please refer any questions regarding this submittal to Ms. Annette Pope, Supervisor
