Ladies and Gentlemen:

In accordance with 10 CFR 20.2207(g), Carolina Power & Light Company, now doing business as Progress Energy Carolinas, Inc., has submitted the annual reconciliation report for radioactive sources for the Brunswick Steam Electric Plant directly to the National Source Tracking System (NSTS) using the process described in NRC Regulatory Issue Summary 2009-15 for licensees without online access. Enclosed is the confirmation documentation indicating the annual inventory reconciliation was transmitted.

No regulatory commitments are contained in this letter. Please refer any questions regarding this submittal to Ms. Annette Pope, Supervisor - Licensing/Regulatory Programs, at (910) 457-2184.
