This submittal provides Carolina Power & Light (CP&L) Company's response to NRC Regulatory Issue Summary 2002-09, "Preparation and Scheduling of Operator Licensing Examinations," for the Brunswick Steam Electric Plant (BSEP), Unit Nos. 1 and 2. The enclosed NRC Form 536, "Operator Licensing Examination Data," provides a proposed operator licensing examination preparation schedule, the estimated number of applicants to be tested, and proposed dates for those examinations for calendar years 2003 through 2006.

Also included is a proposed generic fundamentals examination schedule.
