SUBJECT:

Arkansas Nuclear One - Unit 2 Docket No. 50-368 License No. NPF-6 Quality Assurance Regarding Threaded Fasteners Gentlemen:

My March 24, 1983, letter (2CAN038312) briefly described quality assurance measures to minimize fastener susceptability to stress corrosion cracking environments. We have continued to examine our practices and have determined that several additional procedures control this activity from procurement to application.

The attachment to this letter lists procedures specifying controls used at ANO with a brief description of the areas they Cover.

Very truly yours,

/
