NRC email to Riley Keele (Entergy), ANO-1/ANO-2 Acceptance Review Draft Supplemental Information Request - Exemption Request from 10 CFR 50 Appendix B Requirements to Support Application of ASME Code Case N-752 (EPID L-2020-LLE-0093), dated July 1, 2020 In Reference 1, Entergy Operations, Inc. (Entergy) submitted a request for an exemption from 10 CFR 50, Appendix B, to support the use of an alternative to the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME),Section XI, requirements at Arkansas Nuclear One, Units 1 and 2 (ANO-1 and ANO-2, respectively). Specifically, the request is to use the alternate requirements of ASME Code Case N-752.

During acceptance review, the NRC determined that supplemental information was required (Reference 2). On July 7, 2020, Entergy conducted a conference call with the NRC to clarify the requested supplemental information. Based on the discussions during the conference call, Entergy desires to withdraw the Reference 1 request. In lieu of the exemption request,

0CAN072004 Page 2 of 2 Entergy plans to submit a revised Quality Assurance Program Manual for NRC review and approval in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(a)(4) in support of the application of ASME Code Case N-752.

No new regulatory commitments are included in this submittal.
