WALNUT CREEK CA 94596 OPERATING LICENSE DPR-54 OOCKET NO. 50-312 REPORTABLE OCCURRENCE 81-17 in accordance with. Technical Specifications for Rancho.Seco Nuclear Generating Station, Section 6.9.4.2b, and Regulatory Guide 1.16, Revision 4, Section C.2t,(3), the Sacramento Municipal Utility District is hereby subm.itting a thirty-day report of Reportable Occurrence 81-17 On March 16, 1981, while reviewing recent NCRs (Non Conformance Reports), it was found that a particular cable tray support, designated as Support No. H-80, was not located in its proper position.

The support, located in the Reactor Building in the vicinity of ti.e letdown coolers, is a typical "unistrut" l

cable tray support normally fastened via concrete anchor I

bolts.

Design d'rawings and the location of imbedded concrete anchors indicated the proper location of the support.

Rather than being in its proper location, the support was found relocated approximately three feet and not fastened via its anchor bolts.

A NCR was written, a work request processed, the support relocated to its proper position and fastened in place.

This particular support's location is in a heav ly ' traversed area.

It is probable that the support was unfastened and relocated to facilitate movement of equipeent and inadvertently not returned to its proper position.

Since there have been..o previous similar occurrences, it is the District's contention
