Title

Failure to Establish Design Standard for Unit 2 Residual Heat Removal Service Water Pumps

Description

The inspectors identified a finding of very low safety significance (Green) and a Non-Cited Violation of 10 CFR 50, Appendix B, Criterion III, Design Control, for the licensees failure to ensure that the design bases standard and other requirements necessary to assure adequate quality were included in the design documents for the Unit 2 residual heat removal service water pumps. Consequently, the licensee failed to ensure the Unit 2 pumps were designed and constructed in accordance with the Standards of the Hydraulic Institute as identified in the Updated Final Safety Analysis Report.
