By letter dated June 30, 2025 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML25181A816), Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) submitted a license amendment request (LAR) for the Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant (Farley), Units 1 and 2. The proposed LAR would revise Technical Specification (TS) Table 3.3.3-1, Post Accident Monitoring Instrumentation, to delete Function 10, RCS [Reactor Coolant System] Subcooling Margin Monitor.
By email dated August 6, 2025 (ML25218A049), the NRC accepted the LAR for review and estimated that this LAR would take approximately 345 hours0.00399 days <br />0.0958 hours <br />5.704365e-4 weeks <br />1.312725e-4 months <br /> to complete and be completed by May 30, 2026.
The NRC staff was able to realign staff assignments and readjust workloads; therefore, the revised completion date is February 27, 2026, and the estimated hours remain the same.
