CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE NO. 9295, REVISION NO. 8, FOR MODEL NO. MIXED OXIDE FRESH FUEL PACKAGE
Dear Mr. Backus:
As requested by your application dated June 11, 2025 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS] Accession No. ML25162A277), Orano Federal Services LLC (Orano FS) requested the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to renew Certificate of Compliance (CoC) No. 9295 for the Model No. Mixed Oxide Fresh Fuel Package (MFFP) package. The NRC staffs safety evaluation report is enclosed. Also enclosed is CoC No. 9295, Revision No. 8, for the Model No. MFFP package. Changes made to the enclosed CoC are indicated by vertical lines in the margin.
Orano FS has been registered as a user of the package under the provisions of Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations (49 CFR) Section 173.471. The approval constitutes authority to use the package for shipment of radioactive material and for the package to be shipped in accordance with the provisions of 49 CFR 173.471.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390, Public inspections, exemptions, requests for withholding, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records component of the NRCs ADAMS.
