Enclosure 1 SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT DOCKET NO. 71-9295 MODEL NO. MIXED OXIDE FRESH FUEL PACKAGE CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE NO. 9295, REVISION NO. 8 1.0 EVALUATION By letter dated June 11, 2025 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML25162A277), Orano Federal Services LLC (Orano FS or the applicant) requested the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to renew Certificate of Compliance (CoC) No. 9295 for the Model No. Mixed Oxide Fresh Fuel Package transport package. The NRC staff noted that Orano FS did not request any changes to the package design, operating procedures, or acceptance tests and maintenance program in its renewal application.
The NRC staff reviewed the documents that are referenced in the applicants June 11, 2025, renewal request to ensure that the NRC record is complete and accurate.
2.0 CONDITIONS Condition 9 was revised to reflect the new expiration date of September 30, 2030.
3.0 CONCLUSION
Based on the statements contained in the application, and the conditions listed above, the staff concludes that the changes indicated do not affect the ability of the package to meet the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 71.
