IE BULLETIN 79-07 CLOSE0VT Enclosed is a copy of NUREG/CR-3790 concerning closecut action of IE Bulletin 79-07 " Seismic Stress Analysis of Safety Related Piping". Also enclosed is a February 6,1986 memorandum from E. L. Jordan to C. E. Norelius on the same subject.
Appendix C of NUREG/CR-3790 identifies that Palisades neglected to identify the computer codes used by Combustion Engineering for their piping system seismic analysis. By way of this memorandum I am requesting you to request the licensee to identify the computer codes used by Combustion Engineering with regard to IE Bulletin 79-07. Also it is requested that you verify that the licensee has appropriate documentation to benchmark the computer codes.
