SAN ONOFRE UNIT 1 FULL-TERM OPERATING LICENSE A recently completed safety evaluation report (SER), NUREG-1443, that summarizes the NRC staff's review of Southern California Edison Company's request for a full-term operating license (FTOL) for San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Unit 1 is enclosed for your information. The staff concluded that your request for an FTOL complies with applicable Federal regulations and has no impact on the safety of plant operations. An FTOL related briefing for the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) has been tentatively scheduled for 8:30 am on August 9, 1991. If you wish to participate in the ACRS briefing, please make arrangements through the NRC project manager assigned to your plant.
