Mr. A. Bert Davis This special report is being submitted pursuant to the requirements of Technical Specification 3.7.10 Action (a) to inform you that Fire Door 325 was inoperable in excess of 7 days.
Technical Specification 3.7.10 Action (a) requires that a fire door be returned to service within 7 days or a special report be submitted.
On May 5, 1987, at 1400 hours0.0162 days <br />0.389 hours <br />0.00231 weeks <br />5.327e-4 months <br />, Fire Door 325 separating the Unit 1 Reactor Cable. Tunnel Quadrants 3M and 3S was declared inoperable to facilitate replacement of the fire door.
Due to difficulties encountered in replacement of the door, the door was not declared operable until May 12, 1987, at 1634 hours0.0189 days <br />0.454 hours <br />0.0027 weeks <br />6.21737e-4 months <br />.
This exceeds the 7 day requirement by 2 hours2.314815e-5 days <br />5.555556e-4 hours <br />3.306878e-6 weeks <br />7.61e-7 months <br /> and 34 minutes.
A fire watch, as required by Technical Specification 3.7.10 Action (a),
had been established and was in effect at all times.
