Dear Dr. Uhrig:
Please refer to your submittal dated April 17, 1979, submitting Radiological Effluent Technical Specifications for the Turkey Point Plant Units Nos.
3 and 4.
In an attachment to your letter, you indicated that solidification has not been addressed in the Technical Specifications, and that a waste solidification program is not in place at Turkey Point.
You also indicated that the need for such a program is being evaluated and may lead to further correspondence.
Further you have not submitted an Offsite Dose Calculation Manual (ODCM),
instead reference is made in the Specifications for Turkey Point to the "in-plant procedures".
While'he "in-plant procedures" may have the type of information we have requested, these procedures usually contain information in greater detaiI than we need, as well as extraneous information.
We need a document that is prepared specifically for the Technical Specifications following the guidance that has been provided.
In order to complete our review of your proposed Technical Specifications we find that we need the following:

The Offsite Dose Calculation Manual A copy of this letter was telecopied to you on May 23, 1979.,
Please provide your written response by June 15, 1979 in.order that we may complete our review.
