Fire Protection Revision 1 to the Turkey Point Units 3 & 4 Fire Protection repor't submitted April 8, 1983 is enclosed for your review.
This revision was initiated at the request of your staff to provide more specific information on each exemption and to expand the justification for each exemption request.
Editorial and typo-graphical errors contained in the original report are also corrected in this revision.
Based on further -evaluation of each fire area and discussions with your staff, it has been determined that exemption requests for Fire Areas/Zones D, E, 82, 87, 91 and 92 are not necessary.
Appro-priate changes to the April 8th report are incorporated by this re-vision.
The total number of exemption requests is reduced to 36.
Because of the unique. design of the Turkey Point Units 3 & 4, FPL considered it desirable to arrange a site visit for your staff reviewers.
This visit will provide the opportunity for the staff members to develop a better understanding and appreciation of the fire protection features proposed and installed at Turkey Point.
This meeting can be arranged at your convenience and should only require two day' time.
