to1211 On December 27 an increase in reactor coolant leakace was noted.

At 2_131 l

A 1 RPS channel A tripped on press / temp.

It was determined that a pressure g

I o 1. i I switch had blown.

Reactor shutdown was initiated but was terminated when

(

ioIsi! switch was valved out.

On December 29 it was noted that Channel 1 WR io is I oressure was reading high so the channel was tripped.

At 1545 recalibration i

tairlI was comolete so channel was returned to service.

At no time was' the ability ;

i c i. ; I of the reactor to operate safely impaired.

2 cAuSE of scRtPT1oN ANo CoARECf1VE ACiloNS tito 1 The ES Analog Channel 1 WR pressure transmitter is located about five feet ii,i, i from and slightly below the blown pressure switch.

It is likely that steam I from the switch struck the transmitter thus throwing it out of calibration.

i,i3, I Recalibration corrected the transmitter error.

Temporarily valving out the i,i.i L switch has eliminated the leak. The trans=1tter was a model 56PH.
