4, CAUSE DESCRIITION:

Investigation of the cause by Chemistry Department supervision revealed i

i that on or about 11/16/76, all boron analyses went up % 4%.

Further investigation revealed that the standard sodium hydroxide titrant had a concentration of 4 4% lower than predicted. All regular boron I

concentrations were resampled with fresh reagent and found to be satisfactory.

In the future, a known 2300 ppm boron standard will be titrated with each safety system sample. This was not a Peportabic Occurrence.
