DAIRYLAND POWER COOPERATIVE NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO PROVISIONAL OPERATING LICENSE The U. S. Juclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has issuea Amendment No. 21 to Provisional Operating License No. DPR-45, issued to Dairyland Power Cooperative (the licensee), which revised the license for operation of the l aCrosse Boiling Water Reactor located in Vernon County, Wisconsin..The amendment is effective as of its date of issuance, anc is to be fully implemented within 30 days of Commission approval in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 73.40(b).
The amendnient adds a license condition to include the Commission-approved Safegards Centingency Plan as part of the license.
The licensee's filing complies with the standards and requirements of the Atoinic Energy Act of 1954, as amenced (the Act), and the Comnission's rules and regulations. The Commission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amencment. Prior public notice of this amendment was not required since the amencment coes not involve a significant ha: arcs consideration.
The Commission has cetermined that .e issuance of this amendment will not result in any significant environmental impact and that pursuant to 10 CFR 551.5(d)(4) an environmental impact statement or negative declaration and environmental impact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of this amendment.
