REPORTS 0771 AND 0772 RELATING TO ACCIDENT SOURCE TERM ASSUMPTIONS, 2:05 P.M., THURSDAY, MAY 21, 1981, COMMISSIONERS' CONFERENCE ROOM, D.C. OFFICE (OPEN TO PUBLIC ATTENDANCE)
The Comission was briefed by staff on draft reports on accident source term assumptions.
Comissioner Ahearne requested a response from staff to identify those accident sequences and associated probabilities in Category III (Appendix A--
NUREG-0772) with sufficiently high probability that continue to dominate.

Chairman Hendrie recomended that staff also seek cocinents from knowledgeable individuals outside NRC; sources would include the National Academy of Sciences and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
