Perry Nuclear Power Plant Docket Nos. 50-440; 50-441 Actions Taken to Resolve SWN 81-01, CAR 0504, USNRC Findings and January 28, 1981 Immediate Action Letter on SP-64 Contractor As a result of actions taken by our nuclear coatings contraitor, Metalweld, Inc.,

and curselves, we are prepared for NRC Region III review of the result of cor-rective actions taken. As per Item No. 2 of your Immediate Action Letter dated January 28, 1981, we are withholding a partial Stop Work Release (SWR) to restart safety-related coating activities on Reactor Building No. 1 Dome, pending NRC Region III concurrence with our actions.

The following is a summary of the corrective actions taken to resolve.Stop Work

Notification No. 81-01, Corrective Action Request No. 0504, USNRC findings during January 21-23, 1981 inspection, and Immediate Action Letter dated January 2% 1981.

The referenced action numbers are as listed on the attachment to our letter to you dated January 26, 1981.

Actions Complete:

Item Nos. 1, 2, 5,~6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 19 Intermediate Actions Completed to Support First Partial SWR:

Item Nos. 3, 4, 10, 18, 20 and 21 Actions Not Required for First Partial SIU1:

Item Nos. 16 and 17 As discussed with Mr. Konklin on February 5, 1981, these specific actions taken sat-isfy Items 1(a)-(d) in the Immediate Action Letter.
