Dear Mr. Engelken:
in accordance with Technical Specifications Section 6.9.4.1(e) and Regulatory Guide 1.16, Revision 4, Section C.2.a(5), the Sacramento Municipal Utility District reports the following Licensee Event Report Number 81-12.
On March 3 while performing the " Reactor Protection System" calibration, the setpoints for the High Reactor Building Pressure were higher than allowed by the Technical Specifications. The limit estab-lished by the Technical Specification is 4 psig. The four channels A, B, C and D were measured to be 4.08, 4.03, 4.05, and 4.05 respectively.
The administrative setpoint for this pa ameter is 3.9 +.05 psig.
Mr. H. Canter, resident NRC Inspector, was informed of this event today by Mr. R. Colombo.
A complete report will be submitted to your office within fourteen days.
