Amendment Application to Reduce Possession Limits, License R-119, Docket 50-87 The Westinghouse Electric Corporation hereby submits this application for an amendment to License R-119, Docket 50-87 for the Westinghouse fluclear Training Reactor located at Zion, Illinois.
It is requested that paragraph 2.B.(2) of Facility License fio. R-119 be amended to read as follows:
(2) Pursuant to the Act and 10CFR Part 70, "Special fluclear Material", to receive, passess, and use up to 4.95 kilograms of contained uranium 235, and 48 grams of plutonium contained in plutonium - beryllium neutron sources, both in connection with operation of the facility; The purpose of this amendment request is to reduce the possession limits below a " formula quantity" as defined by 10CFR73.2(bb).
Westinghouse has' disposed of sufficient fuel to reduce the amount possessed to within the limit specified above.
Attached for f1RC review and approval is a copy of l
the revised Security Plan which has been prepared in accordance with the requiremer.ts of 10CFR73.67 for the physical protection of special nuclear material of moderate strategic significance.

Your timely review and approval of these requests would be appreciated in order to permit Westinghouse to implement this revised security plan at an early date.
Westinghouse requests that the attached security plan be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with the provisions of 10CFR2.790(d).
A check in the amount of $600 in payment of the fee specified in 10CFR170.22 is being sent under separate cover.
