In accordance with 10 CFR 50.30 (c)(1)(IV), South Carolina Electric & Gas Company, acting for itself and as agent for South Carolina Public Service Authority, herewith files forty-four (44)~ copies of Amendment No. 4 to the Operating License Environmental Report (ER) for the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station in response to a request for additional information relating to.the-staff's 10 CFR 50 Appendix I analysis and Radiological Environmental Program.

The material submitted contains three (3) signed originals and forty-one (41) conformed copies thereof.

A certificate showing compliance with 10 CFR 2.101(a)(4) concerning dis-tribution to other federal, state and 'ocal $fficials is attached.
