Generic Letter 89-10, "Sqfety-Related Motor-Opemted Valve Testing and Surveillance" 2
Gentlemen:
Generic Letter 89-10, " Safety-Related Motor-Operated Valve (MOV) Testing and Surveillance," was issued by the Commission on June 28,1989. Generic Letter 89-10, in part, provided recommended actions to licensees that would assure the proper operation of motor-operated valves under design-basis conditions. Reporting Requirement "m" requires that each licensee notify the Commission upon completion of the required actions. The purpose of this letter is to notify the Commission that Niagara Mohawk has completed those actions required by Generic Letter 89-10 as delineated in Nine Mile Point Unit 2's MOV Program Plan.
