FIRE BARRIERS BREACHED HORE THAN 7 DAYS
Dear Mr. Hartin:
The Sacramento Municipal Utility District hereby submits Special Report Number 88-08 in accordance with Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station Technical Specification 3.14.6.2.
This report provides an updated list of nonfunctional fire barriers which have not been restored to functional status within 7 days.
The District evaluates each nonfunctional fire barrier against the requirements of Technical Specification 3.14.6 and verifies that the proper fire watch is established.
Since the last Special Report on fire barriars breached more than 7 days, 23 reportable breaches have been repaired. An additional 4 breaches were added during this period to opport ongoing modification activities.
Due to plant restart and the corresponding reduction in the number of breached i
barriers, the District will return to the original reporting format for j
fire-rated assembly breaches.
Special Reports will be submitted within 30 days in accordance with Technical Specifications 3.14.6.2 and 6.9.5.E only when individual fire-rated assemblies are not restored to operable status within 7 days.
