CERTIFICATE OF APPROVAL NO. D/4377/AF-96 FOR THE MODEL NO. ANF-10 PACKAGE - REVALIDATION RECOMMENDATION
Dear Richard Boyle:
By letter dated May 26, 2023 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System
[ADAMS] Accession No. ML23297A029), the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) requested that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff performs a review of the German Certificate of Approval D/4377/AF-96, Revision 1, for the Model No. ANF-10 package and make a recommendation concerning the revalidation of the package for import and export use.
Based upon the NRCs review of the statements and representations contained in the application ANFG-11.105(06E), Revision No. 12, dated January 30, 2019, the letter from Advanced Nuclear Fuels GmbH dated February 18, 2020, and the supporting reference documents, and for the reasons stated in the enclosed safety evaluation report, the NRC recommends revalidation of the German Certificate of Competent Authority D/4377/AF-96, Revision 1, for the ANF-10 package with no additional conditions.
