Your referenced letter transmitted the results of NRC Inspection Report No. l 50-361/97-07 and 50-362/97-07, conducted April 7-11,1997, at the San Onofre !
I Nuclear Generating Station, Units 2 and 3. The letter, also, requested Edison's confirmation of a regulatory commitment.
During the exit meeting on April 11,1997, Edison management confirmed that a security officer would be posted, at the North Security Processing Facility entrance tumstiles, during peak traffic flow periods. Further, the requirement to post the security officer would be made a part of the appropriate Security procedure.
On April 24,1997, the encicsed Security Procedure SO123-IV-5.1, " Protected and Vital Area Access," was modified (Temporary Change Notice 5-5), as stated above.
