SECY-86-336A - PROPOSED REVISION TO PART 110 CONCERNING IMPORT OF URANIUM FROM SOUTH AFRICA APPROVEDx as modified DISAPPROVED ABSTAIN NOT PARTICIPATING REQUEST DISCUSSION COMMENTS:
I agree with Camissioner Roberts that the Canmission should re. view all proposed inports of uranium, in any form, frtxn South Africa on a case-by-case basis. ,
I would also include in the Supplementary Infonnation a short discussion of how the Cmprehensive Anti-Apartheid Act of 1986 prohibits the inport of any products including uranium frca "parastatal organizations" of South Africa.
'Ihe rule should be amended to require an import license for all uranium frcn South Africa.
