SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-325/97-10 AND 50-324/97-10
Dear Mr. it:r.nant:
l On July 28 30,1997, the NRC completed an inspection at your Brunswick Nuclear Plant.
l The enclosed report presents the results of that inspection.
The purpose of the inspection was to determine whether activities authorized by the license
were conducted safely and in accordance with NRC requirements. Arecs examined during
the inspaction are identified in the report. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of
selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel,
and observation of activities in progress. The inspection team was very impressed with the
installation and operation of the security equipment and the capability of the response force
during contingency operations.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and
its enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR).
