The information presented is as initially received without verification or evaluation and is basically all that is known by IE staff as of this date.

May 29, 1978, the 196-foot high tower fell across a small instrument

< shed. A full estimate of the damages is being determined. No claims '

of responsibility have been received by the licensee, news media or-law enforcement agencies. The tower fell approximately 300 yards from the residence of the caretaker who was not home at the time of the event. No witnesses to the sabotage event have been identified.

The investigation is being conducted by Skagit County Sheriffs Department. The FBI, Seattle and the State of Washington were advised by Region V of the incident on May 30, 1978.

So far this event has been given only limited coverage in the press. C No press release has been made at this time by the licensee. /
