Response to Inspection Report Nos. 317-85-16 and 317-85-14, dated October 8,1985 Gentlemen:

Reference (a) provided a list of variables to be displayed in the Technical Support Center l (TSC). We have discovered a typographical error within this list and ask that you update

Reference (a) as described below.

l Item number (AX18) in Attachment A should include footnote (3). The correct status of

, Boric Acid Charging Flow is that the variable is not available at this time, but will be available prior to startup following the cycle 10 refueling outage-Unit 1 (estimated to be Spring 1988) and cycle 9 refueling outage-Unit 2 (estimated to be Spring 1989). We

, apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

For additional information regarding item number (AX29), titled Main Vent Radiation / Flow, please refer to our discussion in Reference (b). As explained in Reference (b), the instrumentation does not measure the flow rate but does measure radiation inpCi/cc and is adequate for post-accident monitoring.
