Dear Mr. Grimes:
Safety System Outage Modification Inspection (Design) 50-286/85-22 The purpose of this letter is to document the conversations between Ralph Archizel of your staff and James Fisicaro of my staff, concerning OPPD's response to the subject Inspection Report. Mr. Fisicaro stated that OPPD was in the final stages of preparing our response and planned on submitting the response on March 28, 1986. On March 21, 1986, OPPD received the second report relating to the installation and testing phase of the inspec-tion, and we believe that additional time is necessary in order to review and evaluate the second report. With this additional time OPPD will ensure that the details in the second report do not have an adverse affect on OPPD's planned corrective action for the first report. Mr. Fisicaro also l stated that OPPD was responding to only the first report and would be dis-l cussing the second report with Region IV. OPPD's new submittal date for I the response to the first report is April 15, 1986.
