Gentlemen:
This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. R. P. McIntyre of this office on
February 25-March 1,1985, of your facility at Windsor, Connecticut, and to the
discussions of our findings with Mr. P. D. Ford and members of your staff at the
conclusion of the inspection.
The purpose of this inspection was to review Combustion Engineering's (CE) System
for providing their customers with technical information pertaining to the instal-
lation, operation, and maintenance of nuclear plant equipment supplied by
Combustion Engineering. Areas examined during the inspection and our findings
are discussed in the enclosed report. Within these areas, the inspection
consisted of an examination of procedures and representative records, interviews
with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this
letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC's Public
Document Room.
