COMMENTS:
I approve the staff's recommendation to accept the voluntary approach proposed j by NEl. I agree with Commissioner Rogers, and commend the staff for its perserverance in reaching a mutually acceptable approach for collecting reliability and availability information. The staff should continue to work with INP0 and industry representatives to improve the content of the voluntary data. The staff should periodically update the Commission on its efforts to work with industry, to address shortfalls and limitations in the data. This periodic update could be incorporated, as appropriate, into the quarterly updates to the PRA implementation plan.
