Dear Sir:

The NRC was notified of a potentially reportable deficiency in Ref erence ( A), an Interim Report was transmitted by Ref erence (B), and Time Extensions were requested by Ref erences (C), (D), (E), and (F). At that time, it was estimated that a Final Report would be available by September 19, 1984 Due to the extensive investigation and evaluation required, it is now expected that this information will be finalized by October 10, 1984, at which tin.c a complete report eill be submitted.

There is no new inf ormation or change to the Interim Report at this time.
