Welds on Bergen & Paterson Sway Struts
Dear Mr. Gagliardo:
This letter provides an interim report on a potential 10CFR50.55(e) matter concerning welds on Bergen-Paterson sway struts. This matter was initially reported by Kansas Gas and Electric Company on February 24, 1983, and supplemental information was provided in References 1),
- 2) and 3) .
None of the nonconforming conditions evaluated thus far would have adversely affected the safety of operations. However, the investigation and evaluation of this concern is still in progress.
The status of this evaluation will be reported to you on or before February 24, 1984. In the interim, please direct any questions con-cerning this subject to me or to Mr. Otto Maynard of my staff.
