Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation hereby transmits an Application for an Amendment to Nine Mile Point Unit 2 Operating License NPF-69. Also enclosed are the proposed changes to the Technical Specifications set forth in Appendix A to the above mentioned license. Supporting information and analyses demonstrating that the proposed changes involve no significant hazards consideration pursuant to 10 CFR 50.92 are included as Attachment B.
The proposed Technical Specification changes contained herein are to Administrative Controls Sections 6.5 and 6.12. The change to Section 6.5, " Review and Audit," deletes the title Manager liealth Physics f rom the SORC compositions and the change to Section 6.12 "High Radiation Area," replaces the title Manager llealth Physics vith Manager Radiation Protection. The proposed changes result from reorganization within Niagara Monavk's Nuclear Division. This reorganization establishes a Manager Radiation Protection for each unit, providing accountability for program implementation through the Plant Managers.
The proposed changes have no safety or environmental significance. The basis for concluding that this request does not involve a significant hazards consideration is included as Attachment B of our application.
Niagara Mohawk requests approval of this proposed change 90 days from the date of l this letter.
