Box 300 orth Seabrook, NH 03874 SAtlantic (603) 474-9521 The Northeast Utilities System October 28, 2002 Docket No. 50-443 NYN-02112 Director Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Attention: Document Control Desk Washington, D.C. 20555-0001 Washington, D.C. 20555-0001 Seabrook Station Request for Issuance of Conforming Amendments for License Transfer By letter dated May 17, 2002, North Atlantic Energy Service Corporation ("NAESCO"), on its own behalf and on behalf of certain selling owners, and FPL Energy Seabrook, LLC ("FPLE Seabrook") submitted an application to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission ("NRC") for an order consenting to the transfer of Operating License No. NPF-86 for Seabrook Station, Unit 1.

The NRC issued the order approving the transfer on October 25, 2002. This letter is being forwarded to the NRC to provide notice that the closing for this transaction is scheduled to occur on November 1, 2002 and that all of the selling owners will transfer their respective interest in Seabrook Station to FPLE Seabrook on that date. This letter also provides notice that all required regulatory approvals required for the transfer have been received. It is requested that the applicable conforming license amendments for this transfer be issued by the NRC and made effective as of the date of closing. NAESCO and FPLE Seabrook will keep the NRC informed of any developments that have an impact on the schedule for the closing.
