The licensing board will hold a telephone conference on March 8, 2007, at 6:00 p.m Eastern time., in this proceeding involving PPL Susquehanna, LLCs application to renew its operating licenses for Units 1 and 2 of the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station for additional 20-year periods, and Petitioner Eric Joseph Epsteins request for hearing and petition to intervene regarding this application. In light of the extensive briefs and other filings in this proceeding to date, the board will not hold full oral argument in the matter. It will, however, have a limited number of questions for the participants, and to the extent time allows will permit the participants to make very brief statements (of approximately 5 minutes or less per contention) concerning the issues involved in the proceeding.

The participants statements should be limited to addressing concisely and directly how each contention meets or does not meet the requirements of 10 C.F.R. § 2.309(f)(1) and are or

are not within the scope of license renewal proceedings as defined by the Commission1; participants should not repeat what is already stated in their written filings.
