On September 13, 1989 at 0300, a 10 CFR 50.72 Section (b)(1)(iii) notification was
- . made to the NRC Operations Center concerning some smoldering insulation on Residual Heat Removal Pump 2B. After deliberations with station personnel, it was i L . decided that the smoldering insulation did not pose an actual threat to the safety ,
- p. of.the nuclear power plant nor,did it significantly hamper site personnel in the
. performance of duties necessary for the safe operation of the nuclear power plant. -
Therefore, this event is not reportable pursuant to 10 CFR 50.72 and 50.73.- -
Please be advised that a Licensee Event Report will not be submitted in regards to the above mentioned notification.
