Items of Interest Week Ending OCTOBER 18, 2019 Issuance of Information Notice "Flow-Accelerated Corrosion Events" On October 11, 2019, the NRC staff issued Information Notice (IN) 2019-08, "Flow-Accelerated Corrosion Events" (ADAMS Accession No. ML19065A123), to inform addressees of a recent operating experience in which flow-accelerated corrosion events resulted in reactor trips. This IN requires no action or written response on the part of an addressee.
