REQUESTS FOR HEARING SUBMITTED BY THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND NUCLEAR INFORMATION AND RESOURCE SERVICE, ET AL Attached are two requests for hearing dated November 14, 2005. The first request was submitted by the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. The second request was submitted on behalf of six environmental interest organizations. The requests were filed in response to a notice issued by the NRC staff of receipt of the application of American Energy Company, LLC for renewal of the Operating License for the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station (Docket No. 50-21 9) for an additional 20 years beyond the period specified in its current license. The notice was published in the Federal Register at 70 Fed.
Reg. 54586 (September 15, 2005). Exhibits filed under separate cover in support of the request of the six environmental interest organizations are also attached. All filings will shortly be added to ADAMS.
The request for hearing is being referred to you for appropriate action in accordance with 10 C.F.R. §2.346(i).
