Items of Interest Week Ending MARCH 15, 2019 Public Meeting on Reactor Oversight Process Enhancement On March 7, 2019, the staff held a Category 2 public meeting to discuss the Reactor Oversight Process (ROP) enhancement initiative. The purpose of the meeting was for NRC staff to provide an update on the staff's efforts to address industry and NRC staff recommendations to enhance the ROP. The meeting was primarily focused on recommendations associated with the treatment of White inspection findings, efficiency opportunities in the RO P's baseline inspection program, and improvements to the Significance Determination Process. On March 27, 2019, the staff plans to hold an ROP enhancement meeting with senior industry representatives, NEI executives, and members of the public to further inform stakeholders on the recommendations that the staff will be presenting to the NRC Commission to enhance the ROP.
