1. One (1) short term contractor was confirmed positive for cocaine as a result of random test.
2. One (1) short term contractor was confirmed positive for marijuana as a result of random test.
3. One (1) short term contractor tested at .011 BAC. The contract employee had a prior BAC of .017 in 2004. In accordance with Ginna Management Sanctions procedure IP-FFD-10, the contract employee was sent to the MRO for evaluation and recommendations. A plan was developed for the employee by the MRO, in consultation with the psychologist. The employee was contacted via phone and read the terms of his return to work agreement. He was in agreement with the recommendations and prior to starting his shift on the day he returned to work, he agreed to sign the agreement before going on site.

After signing the agreement, his first follow-up test was conducted resulting in a .038 BAC. Per IE-FFD-10, a third alcohol reading in the range of 0.01-0.039 BAC will result in a permanent denial of access. The employee's access was permanently denied.

Management Actions:

All individuals were denied unescorted access.

A supervisory review was conducted for each non-negative test noted above. None of the supervisors had concerns with the employee's work performance. None had access to vital areas. No remedial actions were required.

NRC Reportable Events (Per 10CFR Part 26.73)

There were no reportable events during this performance data period.
