Dear Sir:

In compliance with IE Notice No. 83-85, Disposal of Very Low-Level Radioactive Waste, reference 18CFR28.382, dated February 24, 1983, we request permission for the disposal of some contaminated material into a no'n-regulated waste disposal facility.

The material is from the roofs of the. auxiliary building'and other locations. It consists of small stones'ar and plywood pieces. Several analysis have been performed and ard inel'uded for your review. The average concentration is a~roxijrately 1 x 18 5 uCi/cc.

( less than 258 dpm/1&8 cm2 and less than 8'.1 it Radj'hr at one cm, with an HP-278 probe or equivalent) . 'However, collectively the waste streams have concentration@ whack, while not high, are identifiable. The total quantity for disposal is 25 tons.
