Transmitted herewith are forty (40) copies of Revision 3 to the Susquehanna SES Design Assessment Report. Both Volume 1 and the Proprietary Supplement have been revised.

h Listed below are the major modifications.

Revision of the non-proprietary and proprietary Section 9.0, nSSES LOCA Steam Condensation Test GKM-IIM", to include the GKM-IIM test results.

2. Update of Appendix B, "Containment Mode Shapes and Response Spectra",

and Appendix C, "Reactor Building Response Spectra Due to SRV and LOCA Loads". \

3. Revision of Section 7.0, "Design Assessment". ~gpss In addition, a small number of editorial changes have been made.

Pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790 and the affidavit submitted with our August 13, 1980 letter (PLA-527), we request that. those pages marked proprietary be withheld from public disclosure.

PROPRIETARY 9 4 TEST RESULTS This section will provide a compilation of the test results for the LOCA steam condensation tests conducted in the GKH-IXN tests facility in Nannheim, West Germany by Kraftwerk Union. The test series began on October 22, 1979 and at the time of this writing eighteen of the twenty planned test runs had been completed. The schedule calls for the test results to be submitted to the NRC in Nay, 1980.
